GiriÅŸimci Gençlik DerneÄŸi (GÄ°GEDER) is a dynamic organization founded with the vision to empower young people and enhance their active participation in urban management and city issues. Located in Istanbul, GÄ°GEDER is dedicated to fostering a generation of creative, entrepreneurial, and responsible youth who are equipped to make significant contributions to society.
Our organization is built on the principles of honesty, transparency, respect, equality, and confidentiality. We ensure that our members adhere to these ethical standards in all their activities, maintaining a conflict-free environment where the interests of the organization and personal benefits do not collide
WHAT WE DO
Empower, Engage, Innovate
At GÄ°GEDER, we engage in a wide range of activities aimed at developing the skills and potentials of young people. Our core objectives and activities include:
We strive to increase youth involvement in decision-making processes related to urban management and city problems. This includes initiatives to appoint young individuals as advisors to local governments​(GİGEDER)​.
We foster collaboration between young people and both national and international institutions to address city issues. Each year, we aim to implement at least three national and two international partnership projects​(GİGEDER)​.
Our organization works within the framework of national and international agreements to protect and advance youth rights at local and national levels​(GİGEDER)​.
We help young people discover and develop their creative and entrepreneurial skills, encouraging them to act with a sense of responsibility and enhance their decision-making abilities​(GİGEDER)​.
By increasing youth participation in scientific, technological, artistic, sports, and cultural activities, we help them become more active and engaged in these areas​(GİGEDER)​.
We aim to strengthen youth participation in democracy and foster a culture of consensus, contributing to the formation of comprehensive youth policies​(GİGEDER)​.
We create opportunities for young people to utilize their energy and potential through collaborations with public, local governments, the private sector, and civil society organizations​(GİGEDER)​.
We support the development of skills and competencies that enable young people to fully participate in the workforce and society. This includes providing suitable educational and experiential opportunities​(GİGEDER)​.
We encourage young people to adopt sustainable living philosophies, support harmonious living with nature, and protect ecological balance​.
