WHO WE ARE
Located in Çekmeköy Istanbul, GİGEDER is dedicated to fostering a generation of creative, entrepreneurial, and responsible youth who are equipped to make significant contributions to society.
We were deeply affected by the February 6, 2023 earthquake.
After this experience, we chose to dedicate ourselves to supporting society—especially young people.
We believe in healing together and growing stronger together.
This is why we founded our organization: to empower youth, create opportunities, and contribute to a more resilient future.
WHAT WE DO
At GİGEDER, we engage in a wide range of activities aimed at developing the skills and potentials of young people. Our core objectives and activities include:
Our organization works within the framework of national and international agreements to protect and advance youth rights at local and national levels.
We help young people discover and develop their creative and entrepreneurial skills, encouraging them to act with a sense of responsibility and enhance their decision-making abilities.
By increasing youth participation in scientific, technological, artistic, sports, and cultural activities, we help them become more active and engaged in these areas.
We aim to strengthen youth participation in democracy and foster a culture of consensus, contributing to the formation of comprehensive youth policies
We create opportunities for young people to utilize their energy and potential through collaborations with public, local governments, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
We support the development of skills and competencies that enable young people to fully participate in the workforce and society. This includes providing suitable educational and experiential opportunities.
We encourage young people to adopt sustainable living philosophies, support harmonious living with nature, and protect ecological balance.
